WHO? Maryam Malakpour and Animal Tendencies

02-12-2013 I first met stylist Maryam Malakpour when she was putting together a show for a Brit inspired rock line called Buddhist Punk. She was wardrobing the Rolling Stones a lot, for tours as well as photo shoots. She’s based in Los Angeles, but travels all over for work. Thus, her  jet setting skills inspired her to start Newbark, a line of chic loafers, boots, and bags for girls on the move.

We once played a dinner game with friends suggesting what animals we’d be if not human. I was a black panther. As for Maryam, well the visual speaks for itself….
