Into the Woods I’d traveled
To find a drenched Lil’ Red Riding Hood
Under a tree
While clutching her apple
With such hungry eyes
She seduced the Wolf
To keep her warm
To muffle her cries (that sounded like a drowning cat.)
How she’d hypnotize the charitable
With such hungry eyes,
Such desperate cries,
To fool them to make her a Star
So the drowning cries sounded like Rain.
Umbrellas, they’d provide
To keep her hidden
From the Sun
That scorched her
Into Anonymity.
