Tonight’s Fluorescent Ball: Sneak Peek at Art
Custom surfboard by Rogan Gregory : It can be yours if you bid high enough!
Tonight, a lot of innovative types and ‘social hams’ will convene– hopefully donning fluorescent hues or earth metal tones — to ignite the Fluorescent Ball at the Museum of Art and Design. Model Tyson Beckford, jewelry craftsman Waris, and Milk Studios co-owner Mazdack Rassi all host. Paul Sevigny and Chelsea Leyland take turns spinning tunes. (They both use real vinyl records! Remember those?) Jewelry designer Bliss Lau and Rogan jeans top man Rogan Gregory represent two of the creatives who made pieces for bidding.
Both works are personal favorites: Bliss’ delicate sculpture reminds me of silk harp strings and Rogan painted this tropical surfboard.
A hundred percent of the proceeds from the event/art for sale goes to education: teaching art and design. BUY YOUR TIX NOW AND CHECK OUT WHAT’S UP ON THE BLOCK: FLUORESCENTBALL
